She is a Mexican telenovela actress, best known for portraying "Marcia Villarroel" in the TV drama The Prettiest Ugly; which gained her popularity in many countries but mostly in Spain and Brazil. She studied at the Televisa's Centro de Educación Artística and began her career from theatre and has won the “Best supporting actress” Award in 2007 for her role in La Fea Más Bella. She was born to Mexican parents and her birth name is Elizabeth Álvarez Ronquillo.
