Robert Eric Betzig is a physicist at the Howard Hughes Medical Institute’s Janelia Research Campus. He was awarded the 2014 Nobel Prize in Chemistry for his role in the development of super-resolved fluorescence microscopy, which allows visualization of minute biological processes such as DNA transfer and neural activity. He graduated from the Cornell University with a MS degree and a PhD degree in Applied and Engineering physics. His father name is Robert and mother is Helen Betzig.
Moving on to his personal life, till today's date he has been married twice. He was first married to a lady whose details are kept out of the media and there is no record of his divorce with his first wife. Now he is married to his Chinese born girlfriend. He has total four children, two are from his second marriage and two probably might be from his first marriage and has not disclosed any information on them.
