A Belgian theoretical physicist who is widely known as 2013 Nobel prize laureate which he shared with Peter Higgs. He was born in Jewish family. During World War II, he hid his identity and lived in orphanages in the towns of Dinant. Later the towns were liberated by the US Army. He achieved the degree in electro-mechanical engineer from the Université Libre de Bruxelles. He also received a PhD in physical sciences from same university. He was also co-director of the theoretical physics group at ULB. Currently, he is a Professor emeritus at the Université libre de Bruxelles.
Till now, he has not involved himself in any kind of controversial situation which can hamper his career. Talking about his personal life, he is already married to love of his life.
