An American renowned and well-liked journalists who is best known as News anchor of ABC and CBS News. He was also widely popular for his inventive use of language as a television commentator. He is son to Eunice and Harry Ray Reasoner. He graduated from University of Minnesota. He started his journalism career from The Minneapolis Times. Prior to working for CBS he worked for United States Information Agency in the Philippines. He was also the founder and producer of the TV's 60 Minutes program. Beside journalism he is also an author. His book "Before the colors fade" was very successful. During his career he won three Emmy Awards. He died in 1991 due to a blood clot in the brain. His burial ritual was performed in Union Cemetery, Easton.
Exploring his personal life he was married twice. He first married his longtime sweet heart. Together they were children of seven children. After three and half decades of their marriage, their relationship ended in divorce. The reason behind their divorce was never disclosed.
