James Alston Paxton is a professional Canadian baseball pitcher for the Seattle Mariners of Major League Baseball. He played college baseball for the Kentucky Wildcats and later played for the North Delta Blue Jays of the British Columbia Premier Baseball League (PBL) and for Team Canada at the Junior National level. He was ranked third in the NCAA averaging 13.22 strikeouts per 9.0 innings in 2009.
