John got interested in surfing since childhood as his mother Alexandra was also a surfer. He has two younger brothers, Nathan, and Ivan. John began surfing at the age of five and is much famous due to the extraordinary aerial and tube riding skills. Surf Europe magazine listed him as the 23rd greatest surfer of all time.
John Florence started professional surfing at the age of 13. He even competed in Vans Triple Crown of Surfing and became the youngest person to do so.
