An American judoka who is better known as the winner of a gold medal in judo at the 2012 Olympics. She was just six years old when she was introduced to judo sport by her mother who indeed was also a just player and black belt holder. When she was a teenager she was trained by Daniel Doyle and by the age of 15 years old she won two national championships. After it was reported that shew as abused by her own coach Doyle was sentenced to 10 years prison. In 2008 she became the first American to compete in two Junior World Championships finals. In 2010 World Judo Championship she won a gold medal in the 78 kg category.In 2012 London Olympics she won a gold medal in women's ?78 kg division Judo Championship.
