Weight Loss Journey

Lexi Reed began her weight loss journey in 2016 at 485 pounds and succeeded in losing over 300 pounds naturally using diet, exercise, mental shifts, and lifestyle changes, like switching from consuming soda to consuming water, meal prep, lean proteins, and constant trips to the gym.

Health Struggle with Calciphylaxis

In 2022, Lexi developed calciphylaxis, a life-threatening and rare condition characterized by calcium deposits in blood vessels that result in painful skin ulcers and a high mortality rate. The diagnosis followed severe kidney failure and included extensive medical management, wound care, and over a year of sodium thiosulfate infusions.

Lexi is a former Division 1 track athlete at Oregon State University and possesses two bachelor's degrees: Exercise Sport Science with a minor in Nutrition (2020) and Psychology (2021). She is certified as a coach and trainer with F45, a team training, high-intensity gym. She is a mental performance coach and a certified mental performance consultant with a master's degree in sport & performance psychology. Lexi co-hosts the podcast "After The Athlete," a show that addresses the post-competition lives of athletes, and is involved in nonprofit activities promoting mental health awareness in athletes.
