Linda Gray is an American actress, director, producer and former model. Before acting Gray worked as a model in the 1960s and began her acting career in television commercials. Gray began her professional acting career in the 1970s with guest roles on various television series but achieved stardom for her role as Sue Ellen Ewing, J.R.’s long-suffering alcoholic wife, in CBS drama series Dallas. She was nominated for 1981 Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actress in Drama series and also earned two Golden Globe Award nomination for her role in Dallas.
Gray was married for 21 years to Ed Thrasher, an art director, and photographer. These two got married in 1962 and got divorced in 1983. The marriage resulted in two children: Jeff Thrasher and Kehly Sloane. Gray also has two grandsons, Ryder and Jack Sloane. After the divorce with Ed, she didn’t marry again and is still single. Gray is related to fellow actress Lindsay Wagner by marriage to her ex-husband Ed.
