Originally from a middle-class family in Cuba, Manny Alvarez is a Cuban-American journalist who is mainly known for appearing on various Fox News Channel shows. During the trigger of the Cuban revolution, he was separated from his family and was sent to the US to live with foster parents. However, Manny reunites with his family in New York after they were imprisoned for five years in Cuba. He started his journalism career by working as a health science reporter for Telemundo. Manny studied Obstetrics/Gynecology and Anesthesiology at St. Joseph Hospital and Medical Center and graduated with a degree in medical sciences.
