South African actress, Mbali Mlotshwa made her acting debut in Moja Movie Factory’s Mtunzini.com in 2005 and took her first lead role in Tshisa. In her Mtunzini role, she played a beauty pageant contestant, close to her real life experience.
Mbali was crowned Miss Safa in 2005 also started her pageant career as runner-up Miss Tinkerbell when she was six years old.
Mbali Mlotshwa married Black Coffee, a South African record producer, and DJ. The couple married on 13th of May 2011 and has two children Anesu Maphumulo and Asante Maphumulo.
In 2016, her husband Black Coffee performed at Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival and Ultra Music Festival. Also in 2016, Mlotshwa's husband Black Coffee collected the award for the Best International Act: Africa at the BET Awards 2016, the first South African.
