Mina Bonino is a well-known and respected TV presenter and actress from Chile. Born on 13 October 1993 in Argentina, she is perhaps best recognized for hosting the popular Chilean comedy-variety show, "Pepe del Palacio," and the international music competition "La Roja de la Canción". 

She is currently dating the 25-year-old Uruguayan footballer, Federico Santiago Valverde Dipettae. Federico plays as a central midfielder for La Liga club giant Real Madrid and also captains the Uruguay national team.

Benicio was born as the first child was born on 20 February 2020 in a hospital in Madrid. It was reported that the operation took 14 hours. Federico Valverde's partner made national news when a leaked screenshot showed her pleading to Carlos Henrique Casimiro (known as Casemiro) not to leave Real Madrid for Manchester United. The controversy arose because she had used expletives to do so. 

According to The Sun, The WhatsApp text read "Gil de mierda! No te vayas" (Translated to: don't leave, you s**t ba*t**d). While Casemiro eventually went ahead with his move to the Premier League club. Even though the comment was made in jest, her frustration was shared by the entire Real Madrid players, management, and fan base as Casemiro was a much-loved player for the team. 

Explaining the Mina Bonino Messi Controversy

Mina found herself in hot waters when she called Argentian footballer Lionel Messi the "best player in world history." After a close match between Argentina and the Netherlands where Messi made a huge impact, Federico's partner took to X to post a picture of the then-PSG superstar holding the Man of the Match award and calling him the GOAT (The greatest of all time).

Bonino wrote: “NOBODY can deny that he is the best player in world history. Even at 35 years old, with a pass he totally changes the game. It is at an impressive level.”

This tweet praising her fellow country-man wasn't taken too gracefully by the Real Madrid supporters who disproportionately preferred their club's hero, Cristiano Ronaldo over Messi as the GOAT. The backlash led her to privatize her X account. Her profile is still privatized.
