Best known as a film director, film producer and scriptwriter, Nonzee Nimibutr is mostly known for his horror and thriller works. He came into fame after the ghost thriller movie "Nang Nak". He was born in Nonthaburi Province of Thailand and is of Tai ethnicity. He graduated with a degree of Bachelor of Arts in visual communication design from Silpakorn University in 1987. He started his career formally by working as director of television commercials and music videos.
Nonzee Nimibutr is married to Atchara Nimibutr. They are strongly bonded in marriage since a long time. For the movie Nang Nak, he got his first nomination in Rotterdam International Film Festival and he was awarded for that movie. He also got nominated in International Hawaii Film festival in 2004 for best Narrative Feature Award. However, he won the best Narrative Feature Award in 2015.
