An Australian athlete who is best known for winning the 100-meter hurdles gold at the 2012 London Olympics. She was studying in primary school when her coach Sharon Hannan noticed her talent and trained her. She was 14 years old when she won the Australian Youth 100m and 90m hurdles titles. When she turned 16, she represented Australia in the 2003 World Championships in Paris. She won the silver medal at the 2008 Beijing Games. International Association of Athletics Federations named her Female Athlete of the Year in 2011.
