Is Sharron Munson Divorced?

Sharron Munson, though, is a member of one of the wealthiest families in the USA; however, she is not always in the news. The big reason for that is her lack of direct involvement in the family sports empire. 

Because of Sharron's low-key life, many significant updates of her personal life do not make headlines. Thus, many people might not be familiar that she is divorced from her longtime husband, David Munson Jr.

Similar to Munson's wedding, the details of her divorce are also not disclosed in public. But there is no doubt she is no longer with her husband. In her Facebook profile, she has clearly stated that she is divorced. 

Parents to Four Children

Sharron Munson and her husband share four kids. Their first daughter Isabel Munson was born in 1995. She is a DJ and goes by the name of Isa Bell.

The couple's second child is Boone Munson, who was born in 1998. It seems like he is interested in fashion as his Facebook profile states that he worked at the Fashion Industry Gallery in Dallas, Texas. Besides these two, Munson is also mother to twins Miles Munson and Lance Munson. They were born in 2003.

It is not clear what is the custody arrangement of the kids after the divorce. However, given the fact that Sharron often posts pictures with her children, it is likely the younger kids are still with Sharron.

Nonetheless, going through her social media, Sharron is likely single and not in a relationship with anyone at the moment.  

Daughter of Kansas City Chief Owner Late Lamar Hunt

Sharron is the only daughter of the sports magnate Lamar Hunt and his first wife, Rose Mary Hunt. They tied the knot in January 1956 and became a parent to two kids. After six years of marriage, in 1962, the pair divorced because of Lamar's hectic schedule.

After the divorce, Sharron and her older brother Lamar Hunt Jr. primarily stayed with their mother Rose Mary, and step-father John Carr. They, however, often visited their father, who had started a new life with his second wife, Norma Hunt.

Played A Major Role In Coining The Name SuperBowl

Many fans of the Super Bowl might be aware that Lamar Hunt was responsible for giving the name Super Bowl to the annual AFL- NFL World Championship Game. But how did the owner of Chiefs come up with that name?

Well, it is said Norma Hunt bought a Wham-O Super Ball toy for her Kid, Clark Hunt, and Step-kids Lamar Hunt Jr and Sharron Hunt. Sharron loved the ball and often played around the house. Not only that while playing, she used to chant:

"Super Ball!"

(Bounce.)

"Super Bowl!"

(Bounce.)

"Super Ball!"

(Bounce.)

"Super Bowl!"

Well, it turns out the chants struck in Lamar's head, so when there was a league meeting to decide the name, he threw the name Super Bowl. 

Sharron Munson Owns Shares in Her Father's Fortunes

Sharron's father, Lamar Hunt, was a successful businessman who invested heavily in the sports industry and real estate. He owned the Kansas City Chiefs of the National Football League, the Kansas City Wizards, and FC Dallas of Major League Soccer, and a minority stake at NBA's Chicago Bulls.

Besides, he established Worlds of Fun and Oceans of Fun theme Parks in Kansas City. Furthermore, he created SubTroplis, an underground business complex in the same city. As per Forbes, the Hunt family is worth a mammoth $24.8 billion as of 2024. 

Sharron and all her siblings, including her half-brothers, Clark, and Daniel, have an equal share in their father's wealth. It is reported each owns 24.5 %, and the remaining 2% is owned by her stepmother Norma Hunt.

Though Sharron owns a percentage of her father's business, she is not directly involved. Most of the company is managed by her half-brother Clark Hunt. She, however, is busy pursuing her true passion, which is art. She has a Master's in Art History and currently works as the president of Dallas Children's Theatre.
