A Canadian retired professional basketball player who has won the MVP Award twice in 2005 and 2006 alongside with the Phoenix Suns. He is born to Welsh mother and an English father. He holds dual citizenship including British and Canadian citizenship. He attended Mount Douglas Secondary School and also St. Michaels University School where he learned to play basketball. He also knows good at hockey and soccer. Altogether he has played eight NBA All-Star games. Later he left Phoenix to join another club Kobe Bryant on the Los Angeles Lakers in 2012.
Talking about his personal life, he was married to his girlfriend whom he had met at Manhattan. Together they were parents of three children but the relationship didn't work well and they got separated followed by their divorce.
