An American former news anchor and actress, Sue Simmons is currently single. She is mostly known for being the lead female anchor at WNBC in New York City. She is the daughter of a jazz bassist, John Simmons. Sue Simmons graduated from Julia Richman High School in the year 1961. She started her career as a consumer action reporter at “WTNH-TV” in New Haven, Connecticut.
Sue Simmons made her acting debut as herself in the fourteenth season premiere episode of the long-running NBC legal drama "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit". She has also appeared in other television series and films in the role of a newscaster such as The First Wives Club, Exiled: A Law & Order Movie, and Elementary.
