The two-time United States Champion The Miz real name Michael Gregory Mizanin is an American professional wrestler, reality TV star, and actor. He is signed to WWE brand Raw.
The 36-year-old Miz belongs to white ethnicity and holds an American nationality. He was born and raised in Parma, Ohio, where he attended Normandy High School and was the caption of its basketball and cross country teams.
The former WWE Champion Miz enrolled at Miami University, where he was a member of the Theta Chi fraternity. He also studied business at the Richard T. Farmer School of business.
Michael was in the 5th grade when his parents got divorced. He was raised by his step-father, Donnie along with two half-siblings, Jimmy and Tonia.
Television Career
The Chick Magnet nickname Miz dropped out of college, after pursuing a degree in business, to feature on the tenth season of MTV’s reality TV program “The Real World: Back to New York” in 2001. After that, he played its spinoff series, Real World/Road Rules Challenge. He later came in the 4th season of “Tough Enough," a TV competition which awarded the winner a WWE contract and was the 1st runner-up.
In 2004, Miz featured on the Bravo reality TV show “Battle of the Network Reality Stars," where his team stood second. He participated in the “Reality Stars” episode of “Fear Factor," his partner was his ex-girlfriend, Trishelle Cannatella, and the 2 won the competition. On 4 April 2012, he returned to the reality show as a host of “The Battle of the Exes” season finale event.
In 2013, Mizanin appeared in a movie alongside Francia Raisa called “Christmas Bounty." In 2016, he guest starred in “Supernatural” as a wrestler, Shawn Harley. in an organization targeted by an expert.
Professional Wrestling Career
The television star Miz trained and wrestled in Deep South Wrestling (DSW), Ultimate Pro Wrestling (UPW), and Ohio Valley Wrestling (OVW) before joining WWE.
In 2006, Mizanin turned into the host of the yearly “WWE Diva Search” competition and started wrestling on the primary program. He was drafted to the ECW in 2007, where he formed a productive association with John Morrison, winning the “World Tag Team Championship," “WWE Tag Team Championship," and the 2008 Tag Team of the Year Slammy Award.
After being drafted to Raw in 2009, Miz won the United States Championship twice. He also competed in the Raw Money in the Bank ladder match and was the winner through which he got a shot at the WWE Championship title.
Miz traded it out to win the WWE Championship in November 2010 and came out as a winner and held the title for six months, including a fruitful defense against John Cena in the headliner of 2011's WrestleMania XXVII. That year, Miz was declared number one on Pro Wrestling Illustrated's yearly PWI 500 list.
From 2012 to 2016 he won the Intercontinental Championship 6 times, which made him the 25th Triple Crown Champion (winner of WWE Championship, United States Championship and Intercontinental Championship) in organization history and the 5th Grand Slam Champion.
