He is an American sportscaster who is better known as commentator for CBS Sports. He completed his graduation from Austin High School in Austin, Texas. He was also disc jockey at WOC, Davenport. He started his career as anchor from WFAA in Dallas. Between the years 1974 to 1981 he worked for ABC Sports. For two years he worked for TNT cable. During his career he is best known as commentator for sport show "Bowling for Dollars", in Dallas. He is also anchor for network’s coverage of NCAA Basketball which includes "NCAA Men’s division Basketball Championship". In 2005 he was inducted into National Sportscaster and Sportswriter Association Hall of Fame.
Regarding his personal life he has been married three times. His marital relationship has not been successful as his career. His first marriage lasted only for four years. After a year of his divorce he got married with his next wife. Couple enjoyed marital relationship for eight years and got divorced. He has got one child from his third marriage. Despite of his previous two marriages his third marriage is going very well.
