The surprise engagement has come just a day after Luyendyk Jr. broke off his engagement to the winner Becca Kufrin on Monday's Bachelor finale. In the final minutes of the couple's sit-down interview with the host Chris Harrison, Luyendyk got down on one knee and proposed the 26-year-old to spend forever with him.

Luyendyk said, "I've made some bad decisions, but the best decision was running back to you.''
He continued,
I can’t imagine a life without you. … I truly believe you are my soulmate. I’m ready to face this life with you, and all that comes with it. The good, and the bad. I love you so much. I wanted to do this in front everyone because I want to show you that I should have done this a long time ago. Lauren Elizabeth Burnham, will you marry me?
According to People, Luyendyk Jr. broke his relationship with Burnham and proposed Kufrin during his last rose ceremony in Peru; however, after returning to the homeland, Luyendyk Jr. found he still had feelings for Burnham.
Becca Kufrin, on the other side, said she didn't regret the experience with Luyendyk, but she said she wishes he hadn't popped the question to her.
