Ashley Tisdale is one of those stars who'll remain close to fans' hearts no matter how much time they spend away from the spotlight. Tisdale is a part of some of our favorite childhood shows and flicks, including The Suite Life of Zack & Cody, High School Musical, and Picture This. Since rising to fame with The Suite Life of Zack & Cody in 2005 and reaching her career's peak early on, playing the iconic antagonist, Sharpay Evans, in the High School Musical franchise, Tisdale has had an on-and-off relationship with the glitz and glamour of Hollywood.  

Ashley Michelle Tisdale was born on July 2, 1985, in Monmouth County, New Jersey. She started working as early as a 3-year-old. Tisdale's talents and profile also go beyond acting. She is an established executive producer, businesswoman, and singer. Ashley is the first female singer to debut with two songs on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. The multi-hyphenated star has been navigating a busy career and testing married life since 2014.

Often lumped together or stacked up against her former co-stars- Zac Efron, and Vanessa Hudgens, who also got their breakthrough with the musical film in 2006, there are many things that sets Tisdale apart and ahead of them. The first is her multi-faceted career, and the other- being her thriving married life. Tisdale and her husband's love story is nothing short of a perfect fairy tale. The actress was introduced to her then-future husband, Christopher French, in 2012.  

The actor-turned-producer recalls feeling an instant connection with Christopher. "I think from the moment that he and I met, I just knew it," the former child star says, adding, "I was like, 'Ok this is the guy,' and he knew the same thing." The pair were only eight months into their dating bliss when Christopher got down on his knees and gave Tisdale the sweetest proposal. The engaged pair tied the knot after a year in September 2014.  

"It was so beautiful; I bawled my eyes out," said Hudgens, who was Tisdale's bridesmaid, said while giving a little insight into the duo's low-profile wedding. Ashley and her husband have since taken their relationship beyond their conjugal boundaries. The twosome collaborated to release a cover of Paramore's Still Into You and also teamed up to release their EP, Music Sessions: Volume 1, in 2018.  

The pair didn't delve into parenthood for many years which prompted many questions about their marriage. Tisdale, 37, who finally experienced motherhood in March 2020, with the birth of their daughter, Jupiter, once explained that she and Christopher were on the same page about waiting and later having kids. "Now that it's here, I'm so excited. I think that for us, we were clear like, 'OK, I think it's time and we're ready," the actress said.  

 Ashley's relatively lesser-known husband, French, 40, is an LA-based composer and multi-instrumentalist. Christopher used to headline a rock band named Annie Automatic back in the 2000s. Before Tisdale, Christopher dated actress Kaley Cuoco. And as per his wife, Christopher is the most present dad ever. "Even when you are stressed and have crazy deadlines at work you make it happen. Just for [Jupiter]," the High School Musical alum wrote in a tribute for French on father's day.

Tisdale met professional dancer Jared Murillo on the set of High School Musical and went on to date him for nearly two years.   

The pair's low-profile, yet enduring romance ended amid their budding and busy careers, in 2009. Ashley's search for her better half continued after her split from Jared, and not long after, the He Said She Said crooner was linked with music video director Scott Speer, who Tisdale dated on and off from 2009 to 2012. During one of her breakups with Speer, the actress-turned-producer was rumored to be romancing musician Martin Johnson. The actress was also linked with actor Gili Lang around the same time.    

Ashley has undoubtedly gotten lucky in the end, but the actress's marriage with the composer isn't devoid of problems. Tisdale recently reflected on her eight-year-long marriage with French and revealed how the two are working to revive their romance after becoming parents. "I think it's just the pressure and just everything [with] my hormonal journey through postpartum," Tisdale explained.
