Toxicology reports state that only one test detected the drug but other tests did not detect the drug which makes it difficult to conclude that Chester died under the influence of drugs.

Authorities also discovered the prescription bottle of Zolpidem, hypnotic sedative on his dresser along with a pint glass of Corona and an empty bottle of Stella Artois. Another suspicious evidence found were the pieces of fingernails underneath his iPhone and on the table in the bedroom, which later wife, Talinda clarified that he'd do something like that he was anxious.

Talinda also revealed that Chester had suffered depression for a long time and attempted suicide many times, including one in 2006 when he left the home with a gun after being heavily intoxicated.

A month before his death, Chester had told his family and friends that he'd been sober for six months and he had stopped taking anti-depressants for more than a year. No suicide note was discovered but police found a handwritten note, what they called as an "apparent biography."
