Unlike her husband, Benny Safdie who instantly rose to greater popularity after his directorial role in Netflix's Adam Sandler starring film, Uncut Gems, his loving wife Ava Francis Safdie is not involved in the film industry.

So, what does Francis do? Well, Ava Francis who graduated from Boston University with a degree in BA in Art, History & Spanish currently works for Mansur Gavriel. As a matter of fact, she has been working there since 2015 serving the role of Director of Visual Merchandising.

But, Ava has already worked for big multinational companies in the likes of Prada where she worked as a director, and rag & bone where she was promoted from working as an Assistant Manager to Store Manager & Visual Retail Coordinator.

Today, both Ava and her husband Benny Safdie have worked hard enough to achieve their dreams which is why they enjoy a great career and lifestyle. But, what do we know about Ava Francis' marriage with the film director?

Ava Francis Safdie & Husband Benny Safdie Are College Sweethearts

Both Ava Francis Safdie and her boyfriend-turned-husband Benny Safdie are college sweethearts who fell in love while attending Boston University. Although the duo was pursuing different majors, it couldn't prevent Ava & Benny from finding their way to each other.

So, even after graduating college Ava and Benny remained together no matter the challenges and the times their relationship was tested. Well, to be more specific, Benny moved to New York from Boston after he developed a taste for filmmaking.

As a supportive partner, Ava too moved to New York where she had to live in a tiny apartment of 80 square feet near Chinatown. But, nothing could tear them apart. In fact, through the hardships, the love of Ava and Benny only grew stronger.

And, five years later of ups and downs, Ava became engaged and married to Benny. To this day, the lovebirds are still together and have built a beautiful family too.

Ava Francis & Benny Safdie Had A Jewish Wedding

In 2013, Ava Francis officially adopted her long-term boyfriend's surname after their wedding in August in the presence of close friends and family. The husband and wife had a Jewish wedding where they followed the Jewish custom of breaking glass.

Impressively, Mr. and Mrs. Safdie have been blissfully married for almost eight years and together for more than twelve years. Marriage looks good for the couple, as they have been together without infidelity rumors.

Besides, the sister-in-law of Joshua Safdie and her husband are also blessed with two children, both sons including Cosmo Safdie and Murray James Safdie who can be often spotted on the filmmaker's Instagram page.

And, it looks like Ava's boys will inherit their mama's great ability to speak Spanish too. The happy family of four resides between Boston and New York with their dogs.

As of 2024, the couple continues to share a lasting and strong marriage, evident in their consistent presence at events. Ava and her husband, who most recently starred in Oppenheimer, attended the 89th New York Film Critics Circle Awards in New York on January 3, 2024.
