Comedian-turned-actor Bill Hader has been married once and has dated many women: The Emmy winner has been dating comedian Ali Wong on and off since last year!

Bill Hader rose to fame as a long-running cast member on NBC's Saturday Night Live, where he did many impressive impersonations during his eight-year-long stint, earning him a legion of fans. Since his departure from the fan-favorite sketch-comedy, Hader has paved himself a more illustrious career. Not only has Hader successfully delved into acting, but has also written, directed, and starred in an Emmy-winning sitcom; Hader's HBO dark comedy Barry, which has so far won two Emmys, concluded recently after a stellar four-season run.  

Bill was born William Thomas Hader Jr. on June 7, 1978, in Tulsa Oklahoma. Aiming to make a career in filmmaking, Hader moved to Los Angeles in 1999 and experienced several bumps and perpetual disappointment for many years. It wasn't long before Bill found his calling in comedy and landed a gig as a featured player on SNL in 2005. The Emmy-winning comedian has also navigated a personal life, full of ups and downs throughout his career.

Hader refrains from talking about his love life to protect his loved ones but judging by the few comments made by his peers and women who've dated the comedian, Hader is quite the lover. The Barry creator had a serious relationship, that remains tightly sealed, way before he made it in the industry. We may not have access to Hader's pre-fame love story, but the actor's first public relationship is quite notable. Bill started dating filmmaker Maggie Carey, in 2005.  

The comedian had just started getting recognition when he met Carey through his mutual friends. The pair eventually tied the knot in 2006 and remained married till late 2017. During their decade-long marriage, the pair welcomed three daughters, Hannah, in 2009, Harper, in 2012, and Hayley, in 2014. Hader filed for divorce from Maggie in December 2017 and didn't give much insight into their split. The duo's divorce was finalized in 2018. The Emmy winner and his estranged wife have since maintained an amicable bond.     

Hader seemingly took his time to process his divorce from Carey as it wasn't until 2019 that the comedian moved on with a new lady. Bill and actress Rachel Bilson's dating rumors started swirling in late 2019 and the pair confirmed the speculation in early 2020. But while other celebrities talked about getting closer with their partners during the pandemic and the lockdown, it didn't quite work the same way for Bill and Rachel, who called it quit amid the peak pandemic. Bilson called her breakup with Bill "the hardest thing ever."  

The SNL's fame next relationship was with his Noelle co-star Anna Kendrick. The pair played siblings in the Disney+Holiday film and weirdly translated their onscreen chemistry into an off-screen romance. The comedian couple reportedly started dating in 2021, but it was only a year later that their relationship came into the spotlight. "Anna has been dating Bill quietly for over a year," an insider said, adding, "They are both very private people and with the pandemic, it was easy to keep it quiet." The couple's two years long romance ended in 2022.

Headlines divulging Hader's love life are rare, but it seems the comedian-turned-actor is never single, not longer than a year at least.  Since his high-profile yet hush-hush relationship with Kendrick came to end, the Tropic Thunder star has already found himself a new funny Valentine. Hader is reportedly dating comedian Ali Wong. The comedian pair were believed to be an item during mid-2022. The quiet romance rumors came as fast as they vanished amid the duo's split rumors in December. But it seems Bill and Ali have rekindled their romance.   

The Barry star referenced having a girlfriend in various interviews while promoting the recently-released season 4 of Barry. "My girlfriend and I were just figuring out that I haven't had a vacation in 10 years. I went with her to San Francisco, but that doesn't really count," Bill said in one of the interviews. And the media and fans are convinced that the mystery woman in Bill's life is none other than Wong. The couple, yet to be official, was pictured sharing a lovey-dovey moment during Wong's 41st birthday on April 19.   

While Hader has had his share of ups and downs in the department of love, Wong's experience hasn't been that different. The Always Be My Maybe actress was married to entrepreneur Justin Hakuta, the son of inventor Ken Hakuta, from 2014 to 2022. Despite Ali's snappy references to her ex-husband in many of her shows, the comedian shares a close bond with him. "We're best friends," Ali said during a conversation, adding, "We've been through so much together. It's a very unconventional divorce." The comedian shares two daughters with her ex-husband.
