The former U.S. Army Si Robertson has been a married man for nearly five decades. Si tied the know with his longtime girlfriend turned wife Christine Robertson in 1971.

During an interview, the Duck Dynasty star disclosed a heartwarming detail – he persistently extended marriage proposals a staggering 70 times before finally receiving an affirmative response from his beloved.

Now over fifty years later, their marriage remains rock solid. The husband and wife are proud parents as his wife gave birth to a daughter Trasa Lee Robertson Cobern and a son Scott Merritt Robertson

The Duck Dynasty star's son Scott served in the US Army for many years and also served in Iraq. In November 2017, he dedicated a post on his Facebook to his son Scott and thanked everyone who served and sacrificed for others.

However, sources say that the proud grandparents of eight kids remarried his love a second time in a low-key ceremony. From the reports, the wedding took place at Robertson's son and daughter-in-law's home.

His two years old grandsons Conor Robertson and Logan Robertson escorted the bride down the aisle. Most importantly, the 70 years old US army veteran, Si looked smart in a camouflage tuxedo jacket while waiting for Christine. Above all, Nashville band The Mauldin Brothers entertained the lovely ceremony.

To the courage of Roberson's late marriage, actor Kirk Cameron sent a special video message praising the couple for such a loving and successful marriage. Also, the guest at the wedding signed an artwork by Kristen Myers that included a note from lovely Hollywood musician couple, Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood

After his remarriage, Si told in an interview with Good Morning America that after more than 70 times of his proposal, Christine finally said yes back in time. Also, Robertson admitted;

"One woman has already got my heart, we've been married for 43 years and her name is Miss Christine Robertson".

Initially, after dropping out of Louisiana Tech University, Si got drafted into the United States Army during the Vietnam War. Robertson retired from the army in 1993.
