Initially, David joined arms dealing company, AEY Incorporated in 2005, in which the president is his school mate, Efraim Diverolli. Just at the age of 23, he became the vice president of AEY. In 2006, they won around 149 federal contracts worth of $10.5 million.

Nevertheless, AEY tried to defraud the U.S. government by purchasing the low-quality products and rebranding them from China. Thus, the deal ended when David and Efraim, tried to manipulate data in their favor.
