The Oscar-winning actress' son Sam, 30 posted a snippet of his conversation with his mother on Twitter Friday night to reveal he had a crush on Olympian medalist. Not only that, but he also revealed his mother gave him some ''really helpful advice'' to take the matter to the next level.

Greisman blurred out the texts which could have indicated who the athlete he was talking about in his post, however, later in the evening, his mother, 71, shared the same message on her Twitter addressing Rippon.

Rippon, 28, who is currently focusing on his Olympic games, has yet to respond the tweet publicly. Rippon is one of the first openly gay U.S. male athletes to make space in the Winter Olympics-he won a bronze medal in a team competition.

Rippon recently made headlines for publicly criticizing the US Vice President Mike Pence, who often put anti-gay views, after he was chosen to lead the United States delegation to the opening ceremony of Winter Olympics 2018. Rippon was immensely supported by the LGBTQ community and its supporters. He came out of the closet on October 2, 2015.
