Gloria Estefan's In A Strong Bond With Husband Emilio Stefan. 

She is married to her Emilio Estefan who was the founder of the band Miami Latin Boys. Both Gloria and Emilio's family immigrated from Cuba to Miami and they met in their teen years. They started dating when they were working on Emilio's band, in 1976.

When asked about their relationship, Gloria states,

"He was my first and only boyfriend."

They tied the knots two years later on September 2. The couple also explained humorously how they lack the time to do any scandals in their relationship.

The couple opened up about their relationship in an episode of “Oprah’s Next Chapter,” in which she stated, 

“Number one, we got married for the right reasons. We were raised poor kids, immigrants that were coming to this country. So in a way... we have a big responsibility for the next generation."

The happily married couple were also seen in 2015 in the premiere of American in Paris. Emilio and Gloria, who was wearing a leopard skin like dress, killed the red carpet as one of the hottest couples.  

The couple is a parent to daughter Emily Estefan and son Nayib Estefan. Her daughter has followed in her footsteps to become a singer and Nayib Estefan, who is married to Lara Diamante Coppola is an actor. 

Emily also supports her parent in the family business. They are often seen together on music events.

The couple who met when they were kids is still together after 42 years of relationship is a grandparent to Sasha Argento Estefan Coppola. Just like she said, Emilio has always been her first and only boyfriend and also a strong life partner.

Gloria Estefan's Career As A Singer

Gloria was always interested in music from her early and when she found that Emilio, a boy from her brother's school is forming a band, she quickly got attached to him and a year later joined the band as a lead singer. The band performed in San Salvador South America in front of 50,000 people and that was the initiation of her successful career.

Her songs include 1985's Don't Wanna Lose You, Dr. Beat 2009, Hear my Voice 1989 and others. Her breakthrough success of her career came in 1885'd Congo which made her known worldwide.

Along with being a lead singer, she is also an actress, songwriter, and a businesswoman. She has made her appearance on TV shows like The View(2006-2013), The Rosie Show(2011), In Performance at the White House(2009-2013) and many others. She is known for her performance in movies like Music of the Heart (1999), The Specialist (1994) and Poseidon (2006).

She along with her husband runs a music Multimedia Entertainment Company Estefan Enterprises. The enterprise is involved in songwriting and song productions. For their contributions in music, the couple was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom at the hands of Barack Obama in 2015.
