Hilary Swank was born on July 30, 1974, in Lincoln, Nebraska. The actress reported growing up in a torn and tumultuous household, but nothing stopped Swank from pursuing her ultimate dream of becoming famous. Swank's acting career began at the age of nine when she appeared in a television show titled Harry and the Hendersons. However, substantial recognition only followed after she landed a minor role in the 1990s movie Buffy the Vampire Slayer. I Love You actress has gone through it all. Swank had already made her breakthrough in the film industry when she started dating her Quiet Days in Hollywood co-star, Chad Lowe, in 1992. While Lowe's side of emotion remains under-wrapped, it was reportedly a love-at-first-sight scene for Hilary.   

"It was like the old cliche where you see somebody, lock eyes across the room, and time stands still. … I said, 'I would love just to take you to lunch,'" Swank says as she reminisces the moment she fell for Chad. The duo dated quietly for many years and walk down the aisle in a low-profile affair in September 1997. The pair was the low-key, yet sweetest couple in Hollywood until they weren't anymore. The duo's separation started swirling in 2006, and soon, the news was confirmed.   

"Marriage is something we both took really seriously. If I had to sum it up to one particular thing, I would say that we grew apart," the Oscar winner said as she revealed that it was the accumulation of several factors that eventually ended their marriage. Lowe has since been married to producer Kim Painter, with whom he shares three daughters. Just as Chad moved on with the producer, Swank also entered a committed relationship with her agent John Campisi in 2007. 

The pair dated for five years, during which Hilary also made a bond with John's son from his previous relationship. Swank and Campisi's separation was confirmed in May 2012. The Million Dollar Baby actress reportedly buried herself in a slew of projects after the heartbreak and love came, but after several years and immense patience. Swank had previously talked about not wanting to delve into marriage again, but the thought change when she started dating tennis player Ruben Torres in 2015.    

The pair dated for a year and got engaged to marry after a year in 2016. "Went on a hike and this happened," Swank wrote while announcing her engagement to the tennis player. She added, "I am so happy to share with you all this exciting and incredible news... the engagement to my dear Ruben." The pair, however, abruptly called it quits after three months.

The two-time Oscar winner is happily married to her second husband, entrepreneur Philip Schneider, with whom she tied the knot in a private ceremony in 2018. The couple reportedly met on a blind date and began dating in 2016. In an interview, the actress revealed that she knew Philip was the one for her within the first 45 minutes of their first date. The Boys Don't Cry actress shares how it was Philip's kindness, intelligence, and sense of humor, that she found attractive.   

The Fatale actress often gushes about her husband with sweet posts and captions. And after almost four years of marriage, the pair have finally stepped into their new journey as parents. The Million Dollar Baby alum is a mother of two at 48. "This is something that I've been wanting for a long time," the actress said while referring to her then-unborn babies as "miracle babies." The actress gave birth to her first set of kids, a boy, and a girl, in April 2023.   

"It wasn't easy. But boy (and girl!) was it worth it. Happy Easter. Posting from pure Heaven," wrote the first-time mother as she shared a snippet announcing the birth of her babies. Swank's husband, Philip, is a social venture entrepreneur. Schneider seemingly has his connection in the celebrity circle as he and Swank were introduced by actor Misha Collins's wife, Victoria Vantoch.
