That's right, Minari which is directed and written by Lee Isaac Chung that depicts the story of a Korean family in a new city is the first-ever film Alan Kim was a part of. And, the actor plays the role of David in the film.

And, for his role as David, Kim was nominated in the category of Best Young Actor at the 2021 Critics' Choice Awards. But, not only was Alan a deserving nominee but a winner too. But, it was his emotional acceptance speech that Alan delivered as he broke down in tears that became the talk of the town.

In his awards acceptance speech, not only did Alan thank his crew members, family, and supporters but also expressed his hopes to work on other movies in the future. Not to mention, Alan also said 'thank you,' in Korean.

Meanwhile, before Minari, Alam who has zero experience and knowledge about performing had only worked in the print advertisement for Pottery Bark Kids before. His favorite film includes Sonic the Hedgehog, though. In the meantime, he is repped by Principal Entertainment, LA.

Sister Of Alan S. Kim Is Also An Actor

Alan S. Kim is not the only actor from his family as the actress Alyssa Kim is the sister of the Minari star. As for his sister who is currently 12 years old and four years older than Alan, Alyssa has already worked on theatrical musical plays such as The Music Man, Sound Of Music, Disney's Frozen, and Matilda.

Alan, his sister, and mother Vicky Kim, in addition, are Korean descent American citizens. The family of four also owns a furbaby named Cream. Not to mentions, Kim is also equally fond of studies and says he loves Math and Science.

The child artist also plays Taekwando and already had earned a blue belt before he was eight years old. Alan was born on 23rd April 2012 and is next up for Latchkey Kids where he will co-star Elsie Fisher.
