An Empowering Display!
Singer Christina Aguilera went bare-faced without make-up of any sorts for Paper Magazine front cover shoot.
The 37-year-old just reinvented a new standard for beauty as she showed her otherwise hidden freckles in the new shoot for her upcoming album.
Last November she flaunted a make-up free look during the November's American Music Awards. And this year she is featuring her fresh look for the latest issue of the Paper Magazine.
In the latest photo, the singer, who was totally in love with dark black eye line, contoured cheeks, and a Moulin Rouge-style bold red lip, stripped it all.
According to her, she finds the photoshoot empowering and freeing. Speaking about her shoot, she stated,
“I’ve always been someone that obviously loves to experiment, loves theatrics, loves to create a storyline and play a character in a video or through stage.”
She further added,
“I’m a performer, that’s who I am by nature. But I’m at the place, even musically, where it’s a liberating feeling to be able to strip it all back and appreciate who you are and your raw beauty.”
Although Christina didn't sham the make-up completely as she is still wearing a little bit of shadow looks, smudged red lipstick. Speaking of not baring it all, she quipped,
“I mean, I’m a girl that likes a beat face, let’s not get it twisted.”
Christina is a mother of two children from two different relationships. One son named Max Liron Bratman, with then-boyfriend Jordan Bratman and one daughter Summer Rain Rutler with the current partner, Matthew Rutler.
