However, later, Pat filed for divorce in August 2007, just a week before their 27th wedding anniversary. They faced several complications in their conjugal life and lived separately from March. The late basketball coach cited "irreconcilable differences" in her divorce from Summitt.
As per USA Today, they finalized their divorce on 28 April 2008. From their married life, they have a child; a son Tyler Summitt as the only child in their family. They welcomed the baby on 21 September 1990.

However, Tyler and Anne are no longer married as they divorced in June 2017. The main cause of the divorce was his extra-marital affair with his team's point guard Brooklyn Pumroy with whom he is now married. Currently, he and his wife share two sons and a daughter from their marriage.
Summitt's ex-wife Pat is no longer alive today. She died 14 days after her 64th birthday, on 28 June 2016 in Knoxville, and left her entire property to her son, Tyler.
