Laura Jeanne Reese Witherspoon was born on March 22, 1976, in New Orleans, Louisiana. The Oscar-winning actress was fresh out of her famous relationship with actor Jake Gyllenhaal when she sparked dating rumors with Toth in early 2010. The pair went public with their relationship in March 2010 and fast forward to December, and the twosome was already engaged. Witherspoon and Toth's too-good and more importantly, too-soon-to-be-true romance peaked in March 2021, when the pair exchanged their vows at Reese's scenery property in Ojai, California. "[Reese] really wants to be married and have that security with someone. They feel like they've hit the jackpot in this relationship," a source explained at the time.    

The Sweet Home Alabama actress would occasionally gush about Jim's bond with her two kids, who she shares with her first husband, and soon enough, the spouses had their own kid, Tennessee, to spoil, making the actress a doting mother of three. The couple welcomed their only son, Reese's second, in 2012. Witherspoon and Toth's divorce announcement has struck fans with shock as the spouses were seemingly doing up until recently.  

"Happy Anniversary JT! 11 years of adventures, love & laughter. I feel so lucky to share this wonderful life with you," Witherspoon wrote on their 11th anniversary. While fans are eager to find the reason behind their split, the estranged pair's joint statement, at the least, hints at an amicable separation. "We have some personal news to share. It is with a great deal of care and consideration that we have made the difficult decision to divorce," the duo's statement read.   

Further asserting their lifelong relationship as a co-parent, the duo's statement continues, "our biggest priority is our son and our entire family as we navigate this next chapter. These matters are never easy and are extremely personal. We truly appreciate everyone's respect for our family's privacy at this time." Witherspoon is no doubt the better-known celebrity in their relationship, but here are some facts about her soon-to-be ex-husband Toth that'll convince you that he, too, is a star in his own right.   

Toth, 52, is a top talent agent in Hollywood. He might not be a recognized face in the movie industry and its global fandom, but Toth certainly plays a huge part in keeping everyone entertained. He reportedly co-heads the eminent Creative Artists Agency. Reese might not venture into film producing had it not been for Jim. "He said, 'You should produce movies,'" the actress recounts Jim telling her.  

The Truth about Reese Witherspoon's First Marriage!  

Fame and marriage knocked on Reese's door pretty early. The Legally Blonde alum was in her early 20s when she started dating and eventually married actor Ryan Phillippe. Hollywood's 90s fandom might recall the duo being the "it couple" back in the day. Witherspoon and Phillippe had started dating before they starred in their hit film Cruel Intention. The duo got engaged in 1998; a year before their film hit the screen. The young stars walked down the aisle in June 1999.   

The newly-married pair were blessed with their firstborn, daughter Ava, a few months after their wedding in September. "I got pregnant when I was 22 years old, and I didn't know how to balance work and motherhood, you just do it," the actress later revealed. Being one of the hottest and the most talked about couples at the time, Witherspoon and Ryan kept their marriage pretty accessible. Years after their split, Reese reflected on their relationship and said being married at a young age didn't work for them.
