The Veterinarian Dr. Jan- Harm Pol aka Dr. Pol is happily married to Diane Pol for over fifty years. Though the couple did not have their own biological child, they are happy with their three adopted children.
Dr. Jan-Harm Pol aka Dr.Pol is well known for his love for animals and his work is documented in the reality Television series The Incredible Dr. Pol for the past 15 seasons. The actor of the Reality Show The Incredible Dr. Pol is married to the love of his life Diane Pol since 1967. The couple is together for over 50 years and the love between them is only getting stronger.
Dr.Pol who is a native of The Netherlands came to the Mayville High School, USA as a foreign exchange student in 1961. He was hosted by an American family and guess what the family was none other than Diane family.
The love between Dr. Pol and Diane started blooming as they begin to know one another. However, their rendezvous was interrupted when Dr. Pol needed to go back to his country.
Dr. Pol though returned back to The Netherlands, he continued to remain in touch with Diana through letters. They exchanged letters regularly, and he even asked her to visit him in his country in one of his letters.
Dr.Pol Married Life and Transition to the USA
The couple after remaining in a long-distance relationship for some time finally gave their relationship a name by getting married in 1967. In the initial year of marriage, the couple lived in the Netherlands so that Dr.Pol could complete his education at Utrecht University.
After Dr.Pol finished the education, they moved to Harbor Beach, Michigan USA. They remained there for ten years and finally settled in Weidman, Michigan and started their business Pol Veterinary Service out of their home.

Dr.Pol and his wife decided not to give birth to their own child but instead on adopting them. They adopted daughter Kathy and son Charles at birth and daughter Diane at age 18. Diane previously remained with them for ten years as a foster child.
Dr.Pol's children are highly accomplished like their parents. Their son Charles is an executive producer in Hollywood and he was the one who pitched the show The Incredible Dr. Pol to the National Geographic Channel. In addition to that, he also stars in the show and is seen helping the parents in chores. Similarly, their daughter Kathlene Pol is a Phlebotomist and their youngest daughter Diane is a university graduate.
All of the children not only inherited talents from their super talented parents but also acquired the love for animals. They raised lambs, chickens, pigs, rabbits, and cows for the 4-H Fair when they were young.
