Jessica Long: See Her Career and Net Worth

Jessica was selected as Maryland Swimming's 2003 Female Swimmer of the Year with a Disability. She participated at the 2004 Paralympic Games in Athens, Greece, winning three gold medals in swimming at the age of 12.

This is the first picture of four of my Paralympic gold medals, one from each of the Games I competed in, all together; from 2004 to 2016. This makes me so, so proud. These medals represent hours upon hours of hard work, in and out of the pool. They represent tough set after tough set, sacrificing late nights for early mornings, tears, sweat, and days it all seemed impossible. They also represent the people who believed and invested in me. I wouldn't have gotten here without my family and coaches, and I'm forever grateful for their endless support. It took me too many years to realize these medals don't define me; win or lose. Don't get me wrong, they are pretty and I aimed for them everyday and am so proud, but they don't define who I am as a person. You can't replace character. You can't find your value in material things and earthly accomplishments. What it comes down to is the love I still have for the sport. So here's to 3 more years of training. Here's to more sacrifices. Here's to the people who support me. But ultimately, here's to the God who stands by my side and calls me HIS no matter what happens. Here's to the final race. Tokyo, I'm coming for you!
