Chris Jericho is predominantly popular with his WWE career between 1999 and 2018, where he has beaten even the likes of Dwayne Johnson aka The Rock and Stone Cold, Steve Austin.

But just for today, let’s take a break from his heroic tales revolved around all that WWE and AEW, and instead focus more on the guy’s personal life especially with his romantic aspects. Having said that Jericho’s marital status, his dating histories, and family members are sure not to miss in any instance. So without further ado, let’s jump into the mentioned highlights in the article down below.

Chris Jericho’s Married Life

Chris Jericho may not have had such an invincible winning streak in WWE. But when the matter is about love, the wrestler is hands down a longstanding life partner. This Canadian superstar remained married to a single woman for an astonishing length of almost two decades.

And the name of the girl who grounded Jericho to be in such a long marital phase is Jessica Lockhart.

Jericho will always have Glenn Gilbertti, a.k.a. Disco Inferno, to thank for meeting his wife Jessica Lockhart. Jericho explains in his book A Lion’s Tale that he first met his future mistress in Tampa, Florida.

The star at the time was performing with World Championship Wrestling. He and his fellow wrestlers frequently used to go to a Japanese restaurant in Tampa after shows.

According to wrestler himself through his book--one night, he noticed his coworker, Disco Inferno, talking to “a breathtakingly beautiful blonde.” And when Jericho couldn’t help but stare at her, she also glanced over at him.

“When our eyes locked, I was completely enchanted,”

Jericho writes in his book.

After that very glaring act, Jericho eventually went on ask his Disco pal who the woman was, where Inferno then replied she was just a friend of his.

Jericho accounts,

“When I heard the magic word ‘friend,’ the race was on and I insisted that he introduce us. He did and we didn’t stop talking until the restaurant closed hours later.”

That night, Jericho succeeded by eventually landing Lockhart’s number. As by the time Jericho got home that night, Lockhart had already left a message on his answering machine.

But after that first meeting at Japanese, it took quite a while for Jericho and Lockhart to meet again. After all, the wrestler was constantly on the road performing with World Championship Wrestling. Likewise, after the night in the restaurant, Lockhart too had gone to her father’s cabin in northern Minnesota for three weeks—an account which has been explained by Jericho in his book.

Nonetheless, Chris and Jessica spoke over the phone every day for the next few weeks.

“[T]he daily conversations helped us build a strong foundation for our relationship. We got to know each other well before anything physical happened. It was the exact opposite of the way most relationships begin and showed us that we had something special.”

Jericho narrates in his book, A Lion’s Tale.

In the book, Jericho further writes—"by the time Jessica returned home from Minnesota, she was already my girlfriend even though I’d kind of forgotten what she looked like. When I saw her again, she was more beautiful than I remembered and we’ve been together ever since.”

And so came the day July 30, the year 2000 when Lockhart and Jericho officially embarked their journey as husband and wife. Jericho’s fandom deserves a mention in here. As the former WWE star is only one of the few wrestlers to have included a random fan on his big day.

In the book, the wrestler pens--a Japanese fan named Masa who “was the most dedicated wrestling fan I’ve ever met, so much so that he learned English so that he could speak to wrestlers.” The 48-year-old adds—Masa introduced himself when Jericho was in Japan with WCW, and he also offered to help him with anything he needed. Jericho states “I took him up on his offer and we became good friends – he even attended my wedding.”

Jericho’s best man at the wedding was Lenny St. Claire, also Canadian professional wrestler who is famous under the ring name Dr. Luther.

In the year 2003 on September 24, (three years following their marriage), Jericho and Lockhart added their first ever a child, a boy who they named Ash Edward Irvine.

Then on July 8, 2006, the parents further extended the picture by giving birth to a twin daughter, namely Sierra Loretta Irvine and Cheyenne Lee.

Anyone who is also the fan of Jericho’s podcast Talk might have heard Jericho’s three kids, every once in a while. Jericho often describes his son Ash as a self-taught fish expert, and that is also what he usually talks about on his father podcast, Talk is Jericho.

Ash has appeared on the show several times for Shark Week. He says—"when I grow up I want to be an ichthyologist” (a person who studies fish and sharks). On the other hand, Jericho’s princesses SiSi and Chey have also gone on to make a YouTube channel of their own with the title, Sisi & Chey where they are often seen uploading several Vlogs and Videos. All thanks to their daddy’s work of podcasting. Ironically, none of Jericho’s children are on to the wrestling.

Chris Jericho: Scandals In Between The Matrimonial

Even though Jericho and Lockhart have been together for the past 19 years, their love life has not been all with stars and roses. One of the biggest turning points of their marital phase was the time when it was rumored that fellow female wrestler, Kelly Kelly, and Chris Jericho were cheating behind Lockhart’s back.

Even the photos of the duo smooching were leaked onto Social Media. Later the pictures also went viral with several public domains. Fortunately for Jericho, Lockhart turned out to be quite forgiving on this—given it seemed that those pictures were the only boundaries that Jericho had crossed with Kelly and nothing more than that.

As for Kelly, the WWE diva at the time went through a great length of beggings asking for removing the picture. Whereas Jericho and Lockhart dealt with it in their own way. The couple mutually thought on the matter and thereby also decided not to think or suffer too much for their own good.

However, that was just the first strike of Jericho’s. As in 2010 the wrestler again made the headlines with his another scandal. Back in the year, Jericho was just getting used to Twitter. But while doing so, he accidentally tweeted some personal messages that were meant to be sent in a private manner.

But the misnomer was bound to follow and as a result, these messages at the time looked like as though Jericho was inviting some Australian women back to wherever he was staying at that point. This was only a year after the wrestler’s infamous incident with Kelly Kelly had surfaced. Fortunately, the tweets were deleted merely minutes after they were posted.
