Gabrielle Union-Wade is blissfully married to the love of her life, Dwyane Wade. She met her future husband, who was an NFL player, at a party. The lovebirds started dating in 2009 and also experienced ups and downs in their lives. 

After kindling romance for almost five years, the pair took the love-Dovey relationship to the next level. Their lavish wedding ceremony was held on August 30, 2014, in the presence of close friends and family members. They were engaged in December 2013. Union and Wade spent their honeymoon in the Maldives and Tanzania.

Gabrielle Monique Union was born on October 29, 1972, in Omaha Nebraska to Theresa Union, a phone company manager and social worker and Sylvester E. Union, a military sergeant. She was raised in a Catholic environment.

As a child, once her mother took her to a gay pride parade at age 8 after her parents moved to Pleasanton, California. Union-Wade attended Foothill High School and has earned a degree in sociology from UCLA.

She started her career as an intern in the Judith Fontaine Modeling & Talent Agency. Later she got some minor roles in teen movies like 10 Things I Hate About You, She's All That, and Love & Basketball. Her big debut was starring in an episode of "Star Trek: Deep Space Nine".

In 2004 she starred in the movie 'Breakin' All the Rules' alongside Jamie Foxx. In 2006 she was awarded Best actress award by Palm Beach International Film Festival for her role in Neo Ned.
