The 33-year-old was in a boat near Masonboro Island in North Carolina. William died close to his hometown of Wilmington.
According to the National Lightning Safety Council, William was pronounced dead after the emergency team also performed CPS on the Bisnow CEO. They took him to the Bradley Creek Marine to meet EMS, who attempted to rescue him for twenty minutes.

As a tribute to her best friend's husband, Odette penned that it felt surreal writing the post. In the heartful condolence, Annabelle posted a series of images including Frend, Prince and their pet dog Winston," The unimaginable has happened, and we have to say goodbye to another friend, @britwilliam. "
"My best friend @bevinaprince beloved husband," Prince praised him for the life and love he gave to Prince, "As I sit in your beautiful home, looking out onto the ocean, I keep thinking about what a gift you gave to Bevin."
"What a gift you gave to everyone who knew you to witness the passion that burned in your soul. The passion to help people, to build your business, to find happiness like I'd never seen from you living in North Carolina with Bevin," she added.
Additionally, Annable revealed a GoFund Me Link where people could donate to two causes friends felt strongly about in place of flowers. Bevin and William previously moved to Wrightsville Beach to be closer to family in between the COVID-19 pandemic.
