Charlie Weber and Liza Weil, the How To Get Away With Murder stars have broken up. The couple developed a romantic relationship on the set of the widely acclaimed ABC series.
Weber confirmed the news to People, sharing on Thursday,
"Liza and I share an amazing relationship rooted in love and respect. That relationship has found its way back to the great friendship we've always had."
He added,
"We will continue to support each other and will always love working together."
The duo dated for nearly two and a half years since the revelation of their relationship in the summer of 2016. Both of the actors preferred to keep most cards of their love story close to their hearts, but in 2017 Weber opened up about how the two actually fell for each other.
Coming back to the subject, he addressed their break-up on Allegedly with Theo Von & Matthew Cole Weiss podcast.
"We were great friends and we found ourselves in a position to be more than that,"
And added,
"You spend a lot of time [together] and we, I very much enjoyed spending time away from work and so it all just kind of came together like that,"
Weber further elaborated,
"I'm very happy. We’re very like-minded when it comes to our approach to acting. We’re two actors who are very dedicated to what they do and have a very easy time separating who we are and who we are as characters.”
Although their breakup was confirmed, the reason behind their sudden decision to call it quits is still under the shadows.
