Coronavirus Sufferer Boris Johnson Admitted to Hospital After Persistent Symptoms
UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson has been admitted to the hospital after struggling to recover from the novel coronavirus.
Prime Minister Boris Johnson yesterday was admitted to the hospital after he continued to suffer from fever due to the coronavirus. Johnson was tested positive from the virus in late March.
After experiencing ten days of non-stop symptoms due to COVID-19, Boris was admitted at St. Thomas' hospital in West London, England.
A Downing Street spokesperson said:
“On the advice of his doctor, the prime minister has tonight been admitted to hospital for tests. This is a precautionary step, as the prime minister continues to have persistent symptoms of coronavirus 10 days after testing positive for the virus.”
The spokesperson also further told the prime minister would stay in hospital "as long as needed."
On March 27, 2020, Boris tweeted a video message on his Twitter and informed people that he developed mild symptoms of cough and cold, which later tested positive for the disease. Since contracting the novel coronavirus, he had been in self-isolation.
