Elon Musk's Transgender Daughter Files for Name Change

One of Billionaire Elon Musk's children has appeared before the court in request to change her name. She no longer wishes to be associated with her billionaire biological father anymore.

Elon Musk's transgender daughter decided to disown the name Xavier Alexander Musk at birth. The biological child of Musk filed for a request to drop the billionaire's name and change her name following her gender identity.

The petition for a name change and a new birth certificate reflecting her new gender identity was filed with the Los Angeles Superior Court in Santa Monica in April. It came to light recently in some online media reports.

The SpaceX boss', one of the children, who turned 18, the age of consent in California, wants to disown her father because she no longer lives with or wishes to be related to her biological father. The latter is attempting a $44 billion take over of social media platform Twitter in any way, as per Reuters. 

In her petition filed in a Los Angeles court, the 18-year-old requested to change her gender recognition from male to female and register her new name, Vivian Jenna Wilson. According to online tabloids, her hearing on the name change is scheduled for Friday.

According to the documents available online through PlainSite.org, she wants to use her mother's last name, Justine Wilson, who divorced from Musk in 2008. Justin also welcomed triplets in 2006 named Saxon, Kai and Damian after giving birth to twins.

Speaking of which, the 50-year-old shared the vows with the Canadian author in 2000. Their first son together, Nevada, was born in 2002 but passed away when he was ten weeks old because of sudden infant death syndrome.

Musk has weighed in on the issue of transgender people choosing their preferred pronouns, tweeting in 2020," I absolutely support trans, but all these pronouns are an esthetic nightmare."

Additionally, Musk is a father to seven children from three different women. Vivan, formerly named Xavier Alexander Musk, has a twin sibling named Griffin and filed to transform her name a day after her 18th birthday on April 18, 2022.

Neither his ex-wife Wilson nor Musk nor their daughter Vivan has revealed anything about their relationship's rift. The tech billionaire's trans daughter is taking this step to reflect her gender identification and avoid ties to her biological dad.
