Exes Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello Reunite at Coachella
Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello were spotted chatting at Coachella after a year since their split: Complete story here!
The former most adored couple, Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello may be a thing of the past now, but for what is worth, there's definitely no bad blood. A video is going viral that shows Mendes and Camila chatting and just giving the friendly exes vibe at Coachella. The Stitches crooner and the Fifth Harmony alum can be seen sharing some words with drinks in their hand, and in another clip, celebrating with their friends.
Mendes, 26, and Cabello's friendly encounter come a little over one year since their abrupt split in November 2021. The pair started dating in July 2019 and were soon the most loved couple. The I Know What You Did Last Summer hitmakers announced their shocking split with a joint statement after two years. "Hey guys, we've decided to end our romantic relationship but our love for one another as humans are stronger than ever," they posted on their respective stories.
The statement further read, "We started our relationship as best friends and will continue to be best friends. We so appreciate your support from the beginning and moving forward. Camila and Shawn." Although the twosome didn't specify as to why they were ending their seemingly perfect relationship, an insider revealed that the duo's busy career strained their relationship over time. As much as fans wish the estranged couple to rekindle their romance, we don't see it happening- not just yet at least.
The Treat You Better crooner was recently linked to his 51-year-old chiropractor, Dr. Jocelyne Miranda, and recently, has been sparking dating headlines with actress Sabrina Carpenter. The rumored pair have since been spotted on a handful of dates. As for Cabello, the Cuban-born singer is going strong with Lox Club CEO, Austin Kevitch, who she started dating after her breakup with Mendes.
"She loves that he is in tech instead of show business, it's a first for her and she's enjoying it," a source explained when Camila first started dating Austin in 2022. Cabello reflected on her and Mendes's dissolved relationship in an interview in 2022. "My focus has really shifted," the Bam Bam singer explained, adding, "I think as I get older, yeah, the priorities shift. And I feel like that was that way for both of us." Mendes, for his part, penned his heartache in his single, When You're Gone.
