Former Backstreet Boy Singer AJ McLean Tells The Outlet About Working On His Own Demons After Split
Former Backstreet Boy Singer AJ McLean after calling it quits on his wife, Rochelle McLean is now struggling with his inner demons. According to him, the music artist, and their children were reportedly unhappy with what was happening in the family.
Almost a month after announcing his split from his wife, Rochelle McLean, Backstreet Boys singer AJ McLean disclosed he's serving on his demons. The singer was at LAX airport on Monday, where he talked about he and Rochelle are talking every day.
The 45-year-old artist announced in late March that he was separating from his wife after twelve years of wedding, though he insisted it was temporary. And when questioned about whether being away from his wife would hamper the well-being of the children.
Answering the interview question, McLean told it would surely affect their poor children who would miss him. And now they're growing older, the parent was well aware of what they're up to. The guy admitted to talking with his beloved family numerous times when he was totally gone.
"We're used to being the best version of us that we can be and to being the best husband and wife we possibly can be for each other. This is a journey of self-exploration, for me. I've never really done the journey since I got sober and now is my time, who has been clean for nearly two years."
Talking about his personal matter, the music artist had two children with his partner, Rochelle while they were together. Despite the rumors of their rekindling romance, McLean when asked about the possible reconciliation his answer was on the negative side.
"I am a little late. Actually, not get back to where we were, but be in a better place, because where we might not necessarily have been in the best place. I want us to be in the best place. A babbling brook," McLean said. It became a difficult task for him to manage his wife and children.
To add up, the singer is now struggling with his inner demons which might include the battle with mental health issues like depression and anxiety. Mr. McLean hoped to get his family back on track and even get back stronger with time.
When questioned about how things will go after bettering himself. He told of having a therapist and he's working on his 12-step program. He stayed sober and mainly focused on himself. That was a great chance for him to give full concentration to his own betterment.
