2023 is looking great for Harry Styles, who recently stole the BRIT Awards show by winning all four categories he was nominated for, including artist of the year, the album of the year, and best pop/R&B act. The As It Was crooner mentioned several people he was grateful to, which included his former bandmates, Liam Payne, Niall Horan, Louis Tomlinson, and Zain Malik. Styles also acknowledged his privileges in nabbing the esteemed award.
Starting his acceptance speech by thanking his mother, the Watermelon Sugar hitmaker said, "I want to thank my mum for signing me up for X Factor without telling me, so I literally wouldn't be here without you." Harry adds, "I want to thank Niall, Louis, Liam, and Zayn because I wouldn't be here without you. Thank you so much." Styles, 29, who left behind women artists Mabel, Florence Welch, Charli XCX, Rina Sawayama, and Becky Hill to win the artist of the year award, stated, "I'm aware of my privilege up here tonight."

Styles' swooping victory at the BRITS comes not long after he won the coveted album of the year for Harry's House at the 2023 Grammys. The One Direction alum also took home another Grammy for the best pop vocal album. Styles' milestone wasn't didn't receive an embracing cheer as many felt Beyonce was the more deserving nominee. A boiling outrage unfolded on Twitter, with fans pointing out errors in Harry's live performance during the ceremony.
Styles and his four fellow band members were put together to form the boy band One Direction in 2010 after the five failed to progress as solo candidates on The X Factor. The boy group catapulted to become the biggest boy band of the generation and enjoyed five years of imposing success until Malik's departure in March 2015, following which the band announced their indefinite hiatus in January 2016 to pursue their solo career.

The future Grammy winner was still predominantly overshadowed by his bandmates' solo careers, Zain and Payne, in particular. But The X Factor alum has since surpassed other boys to become one of the most loved singers of the four in the post-One Direction era.

"He's nice, he's likable, he's kind, he's a gentleman," Shania said, adding, "obviously, he's super-talented - he has everything you want as a fan to follow and appreciate and respect.
