Jennifer Gates Is Expecting First Child With Husband Nayel Nassar

This Thanksgiving, Jennifer Gates and her husband Nayel Nassar have more to be thankful for. Gates, 26, an equestrian and famously known as the eldest daughter of Bill Gates, the Microsoft co-founder and billionaire, took to Instagram on Thanksgiving Day and broke the happy news to the world. Jennifer carried an elusive pregnancy glow as she cradled her bump in a green emerald dress. Posing with her smitten husband, Gates captions, "thankful."  

The pictures feature the couple's sprawling 142-acre estate in North Salem, New York. In another snap, the equestrian can be seen showing a loving gaze at her bump with her hand gently placed on it. The couple's sweet revelation was soon met with hundreds of comments from fans and fellow celebrities. The soon-to-be grandmother and Jennifer's mother, Melinda Gates, writes, "I couldn't be more excited to meet this little one and watch you two become parents."   

Sophia Kianni, Marcy Blum, Jose Woldring, and Kiara Nirghin also commented on the couple's post. Gates's pregnancy comes a year after she married Nassr, an Egyptian American professional equestrian heir to millionaire parents. The duo started dating in 2017 and got engaged during a ski trip in 2020. "Absolutely swept me off my feet this past weekend, surprising me in the most meaningful location over one of our many shared passions," Gates wrote while announcing their engagement.  

Gates and Nasser's wedding, on October 2021, came at the heels of Gates's parents' unravelling nuptial and divorce dispute. Bill and Melinda left their differences aside when they walked their daughter down the aisle at the family's 50-hectare horse farm in North Salem. The Muslim fairy-tale wedding ceremony cost up to $2 million, and each thing was designed by top-notch professionals. Commemorating their first anniversary, Jennifer wrote, "I can't believe it's already been a year since we kicked off the most special weekend of our lives."   

Jennifer and Nassar started dating in 2017 and got engaged in 2020!  

The Microsoft co-founder and Melinda are co-parenting their three kids, Jennifer, 26, Rory, 23, and Phoebe, 20. While Jennifer is the best-known of the Gates brood, the former couple's two youngest like their lives away from the spotlight. Rory reportedly has a degree in software engineering from Duke University and an MBA from another. Phoebe studied at Stanford University and seldom pops up on social media.    

Bill and Melinda were among the most powerful couples in the world when the duo revealed their split in a surprise announcement in 2021. "After a great deal of thought and a lot of work on our relationship, we have made the decision to end our marriage," the estranged couple wrote on Twitter. "We continue to share a belief in that mission and will continue our work together at the foundation," they added.
