Jerry Hall's Smoking Habits is Speculated to be Reason Behind her and Rupert Murdoch Divorce

Rupert Murdoch decided to call it quits on his marriage with Jerry Hall after spending the past six years disapproving of his fourth wife's smoking habit. The split, which came as a shock to everyone, may not be entirely amicable.

It will be his fourth divorce. Rupert Murdoch disliked his fourth wife, Jerry Hall, smoking. The split news of the pair who got hitched in 2016 came after Jerry failed to attend her husband's party in London this week.

To add up, Hall always had been open about smoking and revealed that she looked pretty good for her age. Speculation arose that Rupert ended his six-year marriage to model Jerry Hall, 65 because he disapproved of his wife's smoking model.

The sources suggest that the media tycoon has complained about the model's behavior, which is more later. For her part, Hall was devoted to her husband, and as per friends, she was quite prepared for him if he fell ill.

Further, Mr. Murdoch wasn't fond of his model spouse' desire for tobacco and would often be standing at a distance as Ms. Hall took a drag on a cigarette. The pair's split was disclosed publicly when Hall and her side of the family failed to attend her husband's annual summer party in London.

A present at the Serpentine Gallery in London on Monday evening said of Hall's absence from the event, "I did think it was odd that she wasn't there. She's a social butterfly and would generally be at these sorts of functions. I also noticed that none of her side of the family was there, nor here friends."

The rumors have swirled around the reason for the shock break, but Murdoch's strong dislike for Ms. Hall's smoking is the persistent theory, Private Sydney reported.

The Texan model has been publicly open about her love of smoking and previously flaunted abut looking despite her habit. The lady said to Good Housekeeping in 2014," But I smoke, I drink, I wine, I love sun tanning, I drink coffee. I am doing all sorts of thing I shouldn't do."

Not to mention, Hall didn't try to hide her habit and was seen smoking in the back of a car as she traveled with her beau around Australia in 2017. Besides, Murdoch's media empire includes Fox News and its holdings in UK and Australia.

The two were last spotted together in London in August 2021, pictured arriving separately for dinner and leaving in a shared car. As per New York Times, their relationship ended, surprising everyone.
