Maker of risque R&B, Andre William passes away at the age of 82
R&B singer/producer Andre "Mr. Rhythm" Williams, died in Chicago on Sunday on March 17 at the age of 82.

The singer from Detroit, Andre Williams whose edgy R&B songs made him a cult favorite in the '50s, died Sunday in Chicago. He was 82.
The sad news was outlet by his label, Pravda Records in a statement that read,
"It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of legendary artist Andre Williams. He died this after in Chicago at the age of 82. He touched our lives and the lives of countless others. We love you, Dre."
Andre's manager, Kenn Goodman, confirmed that the singer died on Sunday afternoon surrounded by family while hospitalized in Chicago.

Goodman further mentioned that two weeks before his demise Williams got diagnosed with colon cancer that had spread to his lungs and brain.
In addition, the manager noted that his body started shutting down pretty quickly. 'Williams had battled a number of other health issues recently, including strokes and seizures', yet committed trying to sing and record again', Goodman clarified.
It's a tragic moment that the legendary R&B singer passed away and hours after the departure of the singer, many had already left tributes and warm farewell messages.

On the demise of his father aka The Black Godfather, his son gave sympathy and thanked everyone who supported Williams throughout his career.
