The cause of Shonka Dukureh's death is finally revealed. Shonka played the role of Big Mama Thorton in the Elvis biopic and was found dead in a bedroom in her Nashville home at 44.

Further, Dukureh was discovered dead in a bedroom in her home in Nashville. Shonka, who played the role of Big Mama Thorton in the Elvis biopic, is survived by her two young kids. The police told the publication there were no traces of foul play.
