Former Miss Teen Universe Lotte van der Zee passed away, just at the age of 19 due to a cardiac arrest.

  • Lotte Van Der Zee, the former Miss Teen Universe died at the age of 19.
  • On March 6 at 10:47 p.m., Lotte left the world following an uncertain cardiac arrest.
  • She underwent a cardiac arrest while on a ski trip with her family in Austria.
  • Lotte survived for two weeks in an artificial coma until her parents decided to pull the plug.

Lotte van der Zee, a Dutch model and a former Miss Teenager Universe 2017, died due to a cardiac arrest while on a ski trip.

Reportedly, she had gone on a vacation with her family in Westendorf, Austria when the incident happened.

After undergoing a cardiac arrest, Zee stayed in an artificial coma until Wednesday evening, the day she died. Lotte's parents, Eugeniek van het Hul and Bert van der Zee, announced their daughter's death on her Instagram page.

"Our pearl, all of us died on Wednesday evening, March 6 at 10:47 p.m. It is super unreal that our dear Lotte is no longer there. Our hearts are broken," her parents wrote. "Once again we want to thank you for all the support and heart-warming messages."

Also, her parents described the events leading up to their daughter's uncertain cardiac arrest. During the cardiac arrest, Lotte's mother was with her who attempted to resuscitate her. 

"Lotte started to feel unwell throughout the course of the afternoon. A feeling that swiftly escalated in sudden cardiac arrest." 

In addition, Lotte's parents said that Lotte was immediately rushed to the nearest hospital. There Lotte was kept in an artificial coma, and later got transferred to an academic hospital in Munich for further monitoring.

She was helped to the nearest hospital where she got into a coma and is since then kept a sleep under intensive supervision of the doctors in order to monitor her health. Most importantly, Lotte's mother made the decision to take her out of the artificial coma when her health worsened.

Even though she didn't make it till her twenties, the uprising star did a lot in a short period of her life. Sadly, she departed for heaven on March 6 at 10:47 p.m. We pay our heartfelt condolence to the grieving family.
