Dan Martin First Marriage Ended In Divorce

Many people might be familiar that Dan Martin is currently the husband of actress Arden Myrin. However, only a few people might know that she is his second wife.

Before meeting Arden, Dan was a divorcee. The writer has not talked much about his first marriage. Infact he even did not reveal the name of his ex-wife. However, he did mention that he was married for a short time only.

Dan Martin walked down the aisle second time on 30th December 2007. He tied the knot with Arden Myrin after dating for six years.

Dan first saw Arden at Hollywood's Improv Olympic. She was performing on the stage, and he was in the audience. He was impressed with her and wanted to ask her out but did not make a move thinking she must already be in a relationship.

Thankfully, Martin's wrong assumptions were cleared soon. After learning she is single, he then regularly started coming to the club to ask her out. Sadly, he was never able to generate courage. However, finally, after a month, he asked her for a date, and she accepted.

Arden agreed on the date because she found Dan attractive. However, after the meeting, she began to like him. She was amazed that not only was he a tall and handsome guy but sweet and kind as well. 

The couple continued to see one another, and the relationship between them even more deepened. After getting familiar with Arden, he knew he could spend the rest of his life with her. However, he did not rush into any commitments as he already had a failed marriage. Furthermore, his priority at that moment was to become financially stable as a writer. 

In 2006, when Martin sold his first script, he knew it was the time. In November 2006, he took Arden for a trip to Dublin, Ireland, and proposed there. He popped the question in their hotel room when she was brushing her teeth. It was not the most romantic proposal; nonetheless, Arden accepted.

Dan tied the knot with fiancee Arden after a year of their engagement. The wedding took place at the Inn at the Round Barn Farm in Vermont. The ceremony was attended by 140 members including family and friends, including Steve Hytner, a comedian who served as an officiant.

For the big day, Martin was dressed in a black suit and a blue shirt by Calvin Klein. On the other hand, his bride chose a Monique Lhuillier dress and electric-blue Lulu Guinness heels. 

The wedding day was filled with memorable moments. First, the couple added their comedic lines to the vows. After that, the pair brought the house down through their dance in songs of AC/DC and Black Sabbath. 

The best part is that they are not yet involved in any scandals as well. Arden said in an interview that the reason for their successful marriage was that they never mix their professional and professional life.

They very early on in their relationship decided that they will not work together on a project though they both work in comedy. And, in 2021, Martin and Myrin decided to end their marriage for undisclosed reasons.

Martin's second wife was the one to make the announcement on their divorce on her Instagram in June 2021. The comedian posted a picture where she wrote that that the two have decided to end their marriage.

In her words, Myrin said: "After 13 years of marriage, Hours and hours of laughter, Moving across the country, (and then back again)... Dan and I have decided to end our marriage. We are proud of the marriage we have had, we remains friends, and love each other very much."

Myrin also asked for fans to respect their privacy. Since their divorce, Dan has kept a low profile.
